About me
Jacoria Borders, MPH, is a social impact executive, founder, and TED speaker at the intersection
of culture, community, and commerce. Over more than a decade spanning philanthropy,
government, fundraising, sports, and entertainment, she has built a career defined by one through
line: turning proximity to power into progress for people.
Jacoria is the founder of The Community Group, a social impact agency established in 2019 that
advises organizations on building authentic, measurable, and values-aligned community impact.
In 2022, she founded TCG Impact, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to inspiring and equipping the
next generation of learners and leaders through civic celebrations, college and career
connections, and scholarships. To date, TCG Impact has reached more than 15,000 students
across Atlanta and awarded over $55,000 in scholarships.
Before launching her ventures, Jacoria directed more than $24 million in philanthropic
investments over three years at the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, leading initiatives in
civic engagement, youth empowerment, and social justice. She served on the inaugural DEI
Council, established the inaugural Racial Justice Fund across the Blank Family of Businesses,
and led the effort to make Mercedes-Benz Stadium one of Georgia's largest early voting sites —
work that later helped transform the stadium into the state's largest COVID-19 vaccination site.
Earlier in her career, Jacoria served as a staffer to Georgia House Minority Leader Stacey
Abrams before leading fundraising and special events for Abrams' 2017–2018 gubernatorial
campaign, helping raise more than $42 million. She went on to serve on the Biden-Harris
campaign, as an Advance Associate at the White House, and most recently as Deputy Director of
Presidential Advance in the Executive Office of the President under President Joseph R. Biden
Jr.
A proud two-time HBCU graduate, Jacoria has been recognized with honors, including Georgia
Trend 40 Under 40 (2025), Florida A&M University 40 Under 40 (2024), Association of Black
Foundation Executives Emerging Leader in Philanthropy (2022), and Outstanding New Member
of the Southern Region, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (2024). She currently serves as Georgia
Social Action Coordinator for Delta Sigma Theta, leading more than 24 collegiate chapters in
statewide social action. She also serves on the Hands On Atlanta Changemakers Board and Matt
& Sarah Ryan’s ATL: Advance the Lives Advisory Board, and is a New Leaders Council Fellow
and LEAD Atlanta Alumna.
Jacoria is based in Southwest Atlanta, where she is an active member of Elizabeth Baptist
Church. She is currently focused on scaling community-centered models that close the gap
between institutional resources and the communities
