About me
Caroline Klibanoff is the Executive Director of Made By Us, a Senior Fellow with New America's US@250 initiative, and an Eisenhower USA Fellow. Since 2019, she has transformed Made By Us into a national civic force — building a network of 500+ museums and historic sites into hubs where young adults encounter credible, multi-perspective history and find their place in it. Made By Us's reach is striking: an annual Civic Season held between Juneteenth and July 4th has touched 85 million Americans to date, backed by award-winning content and youth-voice infrastructure like the national Youth250 Bureau. Caroline brings to this work a career spent at the intersection of history, civic life, and public engagement — including roles at the MIT Museum, the Pew Research Center, and the Frameworks Institute. She holds an MA in Public History from Northeastern University and has been recognized as a Smithsonian Research Associate, a member of the national Civic Collaboratory, and a recipient of Northeastern's Women Who Empower Innovator Award.
